The wooden play equipment at the Kids Own Playground in Queen Elizabeth Park is due for renewal, and planning is now underway. Originally built 25 years ago through a combined community effort, the playground has long been a standout feature thanks to community donations and volunteer labour.
The upcoming upgrades, led by The Rotary Club of Masterton South, in partnership with the Council, will ensure the playground is futureproofed, fun, and accessible for the next 25 years and beyond, and for future generations.
Some equipment that was upgraded recently will remain in place. This consultation is on what the replacement pieces should look like will begin with the community in April 2026.
