The Council Customer Service Centre at 161 Queen Street will be closing down for six months whilst we undertake renovations to the space.

During this time, Customer Services will relocate to Waiata House, 27 Lincoln Road.

The refurbishment works will transform the current space into a future proofed hub that will support our community with a wide range of operational support.

On reopening, it will return to be the key customer service hub with more accessible options for engaging with Council services, as well as, Council chambers, spaces to meet with the mayor and elected members for meetings.

It will also act as a dedicated Civil Defence Emergency Operations Centre, during civil emergency events, such as future extreme weather events.

During this work, the Queen Street Customer Service Centre will relocate to Waiata House, 27 Lincoln Road. The team will continue to answer your queries and questions and support you doing Council services that you would usually do in Queen Street.

We anticipate this work to take roughly six months, with reopening scheduled around November this year.
